What is First Fruits Living Ministries?
Hi there!  I’m Jackie Davis, founder of First Fruits Living Ministries. Thank you for allowing us to help you take steps toward a healthier, more fit, and YES, thank you very much it can be done, organized…lifestyle! First Fruits Living Ministries began in 2012 and is based upon Acts 17:28—
For in Him, we live and move and exist. When we give Him the “first fruits” of our daily lives and keep Him in the forefront, all those frustrations in life take their rightful place in the background!

Finding the time to lose weight, get fit, and keep your life all together IS challenging, to say the least!  But, there’s good news!  IT CAN BE DONE!  More importantly, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!

I am living proof that you can begin at any age and stage of life. Three years ago, I began my journey to wellness and fitness. I am more fit and healthier now than I was in my twenties, thirties, and forties and am 70 pounds lighter!  So, how did I do it?

It all started out by just walking around the church parking lot with a few friends. Yep, that’s right. You’ve got to start somewhere!  And, that’s where it all started. That little walk around the parking lot, has now spilled over into a community-wide ministry and I am blessed to be able to spend my days pursuing my passion of helping others live healthy, fit, and committed lives through the Fit for GOD and Fueled for GOD Programs, hosted by my home church, Christ Chapel.

What is Fit for God and Fueled for GOD?
Fit for God
is a free health and fitness ministry which currently serves women from many local churches, as well as individuals throughout the Bandera community. At its core, Fit for God exists to help women of any age become physically fit through our safe, effective, total body workout programs. Our current schedule offers numerous classes, including walking, medicine ball, kettlebell, and barre workouts. Our workouts are fun, upbeat, and motivational. We just completed our new facilities, which house a complete fitness studio within!

Nutrition classes are also offered, along with the Fueled and Fit Challenges throughout the year. Our goal is to help women live life more abundantly, allowing them the time and energy to serve well and love well. We want women to be equipped with all they need to thrive in their family life and in all of life’s situations.

Thank you for considering being a part of the Fit for GOD and Fueled for GOD community!  We can’t wait for you to get started!!  So, if you live in or around the Bandera area, follow the map on our schedule to Christ Chapel.  You do not need to register ahead to get started in the Fit for God Program. Simply attend one of our classes and we will get you started!  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via our Contact Form, Facebook Page, or via P. O. Box 2313, Bandera, TX 78003.

About Jackie
I have served in women’s ministry for over 24 years and am currently the Women’s Ministry Director at my local church (Christ Chapel) in Bandera, Texas (aka “The Cowboy Capital of the World”–yeah boy–so, howdy, ya’ll!). In case you are wondering where that is. It is located in the beautiful “mountains” (okay, Hill Country) outside of San Antonio! I am also active in the community and serve on the Board of Directors of Helping Hand, a non-profit charity organization. I also volunteer with the local Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Chapter.

I currently hold the following nutrition and fitness certifications: National Council of Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) Small Group Training Certification; NCCPT Kettle Bell Training Certification; NCCPT Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certification (CFNS).

My husband of 27 years, Bill, and I enjoy golfing together, watching those great old classic, black and white movies, and working and serving at our church.

If you would like to hear how I came to know the Lord, you can read my testimony HERE.

Here’s What I’m Passionate About.
The Church–going to church, serving in church…I LOVE church! God’s Word–trying to live it out. My Husband (God’s biggest gift to me)reclining and watching old movies with that gift of a husband. Women’s Ministry–and ALL that encompasses. Family and Friends–remembering that each day with them is a gift (having been in a head-on car collision helps me with that:). Exercise and Nutrition
giving women hope.
